New Web Layout

New web site finished! Re-built web site with a few PHP based systems, Wordpress and a few other scripts and of course fully customized page skins etc. Now it’s easier to add new stuff dynamicly and write some scribblings about images when something new is posted…

Send mail if you have some problems with new site (navigation / weird rendering errors or such).

Captive of Desert

Yet another spare-time project I’ve wasted about 10 nights or so, finished this last Friday.

She escaped from slave traders’ harem and now she tries to find her way across the desert… Yeah, talk about cliched idea, but anyway execution was more important for me on this one. Color design was another key issue. I spent most of time working on clothing designs and building atmospheric effects.

Modeled and rendered in 3dsmax. Textures and patterns+bump maps were painted in Photoshop CS. I used a few photos i snapped last summer as textures for the corroded bone / tree skeleton (whatever they are).

In case you want to dig more into this image, there’s a high resolution test render (in gallery) of some details that aren’t visible in web friendly render.

Moon Gate Guardian

I got an idea to make a dream vision into a render.

Quick idea draft i had for the image:

She’s the guardian of a moon gate. When celestial bodies are in the right place, a “gateway” opens, a portal to other stars and planets, where another gate lies… Anyway, this is the sketchy idea i had in a dream a few weeks ago.

The Shadow Over Innsmouth

The Shadow Over Insmouth

I wanted to do something else for a change… I got inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft’s writings, hence the name of the image. I tried to capture a gloomy and dark mood, suspense and fear of eternal evil lurking in shadows.

Modeled and rendered in 3dsmax, post processing + textures created in Adobe Photoshop CS.
