“New Babe” Character Test Renders Part I
Hi all,
This is something i’ve been working on spare time for last ~4 weeks. Work has been sucking too many hours…
Some words about this model - It’s definitely not finished yet, i’ve been just working a few hours on the hair + eyelashes etc. Most of time so far has gone into UV mapping and texturing (and modeling, of course).
Skin shading is built with a simulated SSS and texture color. There’s no specular, reflections are raytraced. Modeling / Rendering environment is currently 3ds max6.
I’ve tried to work on a problematic issue - To get ok looking skin shading that would also work fine in environments with varying lighting + quite heavy intensities (read = interiors etc. where there’s artificial and natural light), without light exclusion trickery. So far this current method i’m using seems to work quite okey…
There are quite a few artifacts visible + they’re not painted away or so, as these are test renders. I’ve also tried to optimize render time to minimum, which causes some slight (well, very small) artifacts in shadows + lighting. Anyway images render quite fast (a few minutes for print resolution). Thanks go to Felixi for helping with optimization tips!
Here are links to a few full figure test renders where you can see character with with clothes (well, not that much clothing)
